'Friends' cast reunites for charity tribute to Matthew Perry two years after his death
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow honour Matthew Perry

The surviving cast of Friends came together to pay tribute to their late co-star Matthew Perry two years after his death.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow participated in a charity fundraiser organised in collaboration with the Matthew Perry Foundation.
Photos shared on the foundation’s official Instagram account showed each actor signing a piece of artwork commissioned for the event. The collection, created in partnership with @soundwaves_art and artist Tim Wakefield, transforms the soundwaves of the Friends theme song into designs inspired by the show’s characters. Each signed print carries the signature of the corresponding cast member.
“Tim has transformed the actual soundwaves of the ‘Friends’ theme song into these beautiful designs, each inspired by a different character, and each cast member has autographed their own small run of artworks,” the foundation stated.
Signed prints are available for $600, while unsigned editions are priced at $100, with proceeds benefiting the Matthew Perry Foundation and other charities selected by the cast.
Perry passed away in October 2023 at the age of 54, with the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s Office ruling the cause of death as an accident from the acute effects of ketamine. He had previously disclosed using ketamine to manage depression, though reports indicate he was misusing the drug in the month before his death.
Reflecting on Perry’s struggles, Aniston told Vanity Fair that she and the rest of the Friends cast “did everything [they] could” to support him. “It almost felt like we’d been mourning Matthew for a long time because his battle with that disease was a really hard one for him to fight,” she said. Aniston added that she is “glad” her friend is “out of that pain,” recognising the challenges Perry faced before his passing.
The fundraiser marks a continued effort by Perry’s co-stars and foundation to celebrate his legacy while supporting causes he cared about.
