The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball season 2 trailer drops, teasing wilder adventures on Hulu Dec. 22

The official trailer for The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball Season 2 has been released, teasing a wilder, more chaotic return to Elmore.
The animated series, created by Ben Bocquelet, will premiere on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ on December 22, 2025, with international release set for February 2026 on Cartoon Network and HBO Max.
Season 2 promises even more surreal adventures, satirical humor, and outrageous twists as Gumball, Darwin, Anais, and the residents of Elmore navigate bizarre situations. From battling an evil fast-food empire to facing a sentient AI in love with his mother, Gumball’s escapades are bigger and stranger than ever. Episodes will also explore promposals gone wrong, wild animal invasions, and a witchy student cult performing a yearbook séance, amplifying the show’s trademark absurdity.
Bocquelet returns as executive producer alongside Matt Layzell and Erik Fountain, who also direct the series. Xav Clarke provides the musical score, and Joe Sparrow serves as art director. The voice cast includes Alkaio Thiele as Gumball, Hero Hunter as Darwin, Kinza Syed Khan as Anais, Teresa Gallagher as Nicole, and Dan Russell as Richard.
“We’re thrilled to bring fans back to Elmore for more chaos, laughter, and unexpected adventures,” Bocquelet said. “Gumball and Darwin haven’t grown up much since we last saw them… and neither have we.”
With the new trailer highlighting both the humor and unpredictability of the series, fans can expect a season filled with inventive storytelling, wild scenarios, and the uniquely absurd charm that has made Gumball a fan favorite.
