A Cinnabon worker in Wisconsin was fired for shouting racist slurs at customers, a behaviour the company condemned

A Cinnabon worker in Wisconsin was fired after a video showed her shouting racist slurs, including the N-word, at two customers.

The Georgia-based cinnamon roll chain confirmed the termination and condemned the employee’s behavior as “disturbing,” saying it did not reflect the company’s values.

The footage, originally posted on TikTok, shows a white female employee cursing at and taunting the customers, making obscene gestures, and declaring, “I am racist and I'll say it to the whole entire world. Don't be disrespectful.”

The incident occurred at a mall in Ashwaubenon, a suburb of Green Bay, while a Black Somali Muslim couple was taking a break from shopping.

The customer said she asked for extra caramel on a cinnamon roll when the worker snapped and made derogatory comments about her hijab.

Fundraising campaigns have been launched both for the couple and, separately, for the fired employee. Edward Ahmed Mitchell, national deputy director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, praised Cinnabon’s response but criticized the broader culture of anti-Black and anti-Somali racism, calling on political leaders, including President Trump, to stop fomenting hatred against Americans of Somali descent.
