Katherine Schwarzenegger has revealed that she and Chris Pratt made a clear agreement about the Christmas season long before they married. The author said the pair decided their household would begin celebrating on November 1 each year.

Speaking to Fox News Digital, Schwarzenegger said, “Christmas lights and Christmas music start November 1st.” She recalled her daughter, Eloise, recently asking, “Mommy, it goes Halloween and then right into Christmas, right?” Schwarzenegger replied, “Absolutely,” noting it showed how well her children understood the family tradition.

She said the early start allows the family to enjoy the season fully, adding that Thanksgiving still fits comfortably within the festive period. Schwarzenegger described November 1 as a moment she looks forward to each year.

“It’s my time of the year… to really emerge as a Christmas queen,” she said, adding that watching her children experience the holidays has become particularly meaningful.

On the Cat and Nat Unfiltered podcast, Schwarzenegger reflected on her upbringing as she introduced chores to her older children, Lyla and Eloise.

She said she has noticed similarities with her father, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s approach, explaining: “My dad had no patience or excuses for not doing your chores.” She said she now recognises elements of that style in her own parenting.

Speaking to People earlier this month, she said strong communication has remained central to her relationship with Pratt. “We do a really good job communicating,” she explained, noting that this has become increasingly important as their family grows.

Schwarzenegger added that the couple complement each other well as parents. “He has a lot of strengths that I don’t have, and I have certain strengths that maybe he doesn’t have,” she said. “We are a great team… very present in this beautiful season of life.”
