D4vd rental home details raise questions as investigators review freezer dimensions in Celeste Rivas case

New information has emerged about the rental home occupied by singer D4vd at the time the body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas was found in the front trunk of his impounded Tesla in early September.

Photos published by TMZ show that the property contained a large KitchenAid refrigerator and freezer unit that investigators believe may have been capable of storing a body.Photo: TMZ/Zillow

The appliance reportedly measured around 74 inches in height, approximately 14 inches in width, and an estimated 27 inches in depth, with the freezer able to reach temperatures as low as -8 degrees Fahrenheit.

The details have surfaced after authorities disclosed that Rivas’ remains had been decapitated and frozen before discovery. Her 5'3", 120-pound body was found in a bag with limbs removed, which investigators noted could have allowed it to fit inside the freezer if shelves were taken out.

A separate social media clip from September 2024 appears to show D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, in a home with an appliance box in the background that may have been linked to the unit seen in the TMZ images.

Sources connected to the case have stated that the victim’s remains were partially frozen and thawing when found in the vehicle. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner may be unable to confirm a cause of death due to the condition of the body.

D4vd has been named a suspect but has not been charged, and police have identified a second person believed to have participated in the disposal of the remains.

Police discovered the body after reports of a strong odour coming from the abandoned vehicle, which had been left in the Hollywood Hills before being towed to an impound lot. The investigation continues as authorities review the timeline and evidence connected to both suspects.
