Pop superstar Miley Cyrus is joining the beloved Sesame Street cast for its newly reimagined season, premiering Monday, November 10, on Netflix and PBS Kids.

The refreshed version of the iconic children’s show will feature interactive storytelling, imaginative new segments, and a focus on kindness, compassion, and emotional learning.

The milestone 56th season will debut on Sesame Street Day and marks a major collaboration between Netflix and PBS Kids. Episodes will be released in three volumes, featuring guest appearances from Cyrus and NASCAR champion Bubba Wallace. Each episode blends humor, music, and lessons about empathy, teamwork, and problem-solving that reflect the show’s long-standing educational mission.

“Season 56 reimagines Sesame Street, inviting children into the action through high-energy stories and laugh-out-loud moments,” said Executive Producer Sal Perez. “This year’s theme focuses on compassion — something we can all use more of today.”

Cyrus’s appearance brings star power and musical flair to the show’s legacy of featuring world-renowned artists. She joins the ranks of previous celebrity guests who have helped the Muppets deliver fun lessons about emotions, creativity, and friendship.

New segments include Tales from 123, an animated series exploring life behind the doors of the famous brownstone with Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby, and Grover. Fan favorites like Elmo’s World and Cookie Monster’s Foodie Truck also return with fresh adventures.

With its global reach through Netflix and continued free access on PBS Kids, the reimagined Sesame Street continues its mission to help children “grow smarter, stronger, and kinder” in over 190 countries.
