Maxton Hall Season 2 follows Ruby and James at the elite boarding school

Prime Video’s German-language drama Maxton Hall – The World Between Us is officially back. After its breakout success in 2024, the series returns for its highly anticipated second season, premiering November 7.

Based on Mona Kasten’s bestselling trilogy (Save Me, Save You, and Save Us), Maxton Hall follows Ruby Bell (Harriet Herbig-Matten), an ambitious scholarship student at the elite Maxton Hall boarding school, and James Beaufort (Damian Hardung), a wealthy heir whose world collides with hers in unexpected ways.

Season 2 picks up immediately after the season 1 finale, where Ruby’s dreams of Oxford seem within reach, until tragedy strikes James’ family.

According to the official synopsis, Ruby soon finds herself torn between reclaiming her old life and helping James navigate his grief.

In a recent interview, Herbig-Matten teased “a lot of drama and ups and downs,” adding that Ruby “is setting boundaries and not changing for him.” She also highlighted the season’s focus on female friendships, especially between Lydia, Lin, and Ember.

Alongside Herbig-Matten and Hardung, the cast includes Sonja Weißer, Ben Felipe, Fedja van Huêt, Runa Greiner, Justus Riesner, Andrea Guo, and Eli Riccardi, all reprising their roles.

The first three episodes of Maxton Hall Season 2 will drop on November 7, followed by weekly releases until the finale on November 28. The new season consists of six episodes, just like the first.
