Lily Allen has revealed that she secretly operates multiple fake Instagram accounts — including one where she pretends to be pop star Charli XCX.

The British singer made the confession during a candid interview with Interview Magazine, where she discussed everything from heartbreak and dating apps to her upcoming album and online habits.

The “Smile” hitmaker, who’s returning with her first album in seven years, explained that she uses the fake accounts mostly for “spying on people.” However, Allen admitted that her secret activity doesn’t always go unnoticed. “I get found out and then I get blocked and have to start a new one,” she laughed.

Allen also shared that she currently runs about five fake Instagram profiles — some for watching, and others for posting privately. “One’s a fake Charli XCX account,” she revealed, adding with humor, “I’m not proud of it, but it’s kind of fun.”

Beyond her social media confessions, Allen opened up about her creative process following a recent breakup, explaining that her upcoming record was written in just ten days. “Heartbreak is a f***ing gift,” she said, describing how pain inspired her new music.

The singer also touched on her experience using dating apps like Raya and Hinge, admitting she was once banned for “impersonating herself.”

With her brutally honest take on fame, heartbreak, and internet habits, Lily Allen continues to prove she’s one of pop’s most unfiltered and fascinating voices.
