RHOP star Wendy Osefo breaks silence after fraud arrest alongside husband Eddie Osefo
Wendy Osefo and husband Eddie face felony charges over alleged fraudulent insurance claim tied to Jamaica trip

Real Housewives of Potomac star Wendy Osefo has addressed the public for the first time since she and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were arrested earlier this month in connection with a fraud investigation. The couple was taken into custody on October 9 and later released after posting a combined bail of $100,000, according to Us Weekly.
In an Instagram post shared Sunday, Osefo, 41, thanked fans for their ongoing support. “And through it all, GOD remains faithful,” she wrote. “Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time.” Alongside her message, Osefo posted glam photos in a black dress with a white collar and a coordinating hat. She also encouraged fans to watch the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac on Bravo.
Her husband Eddie, also 41, echoed similar sentiments in a social media post, quoting Proverbs 3:5–6 and sharing a family photo taken in front of the Empire State Building with their three children, Karter, 12, Kruz, 10, and Kamrynn, 6.
According to police in Westminster, Maryland, the Osefos face 16 charges—including seven felonies—related to insurance fraud. The couple allegedly claimed $450,000 in personal property losses stemming from an April 2024 burglary in Jamaica. Authorities allege that items reported stolen, including designer handbags and jewelry, had actually been returned for refunds before the reported incident. Court documents obtained by TMZ show that the couple filed an insurance claim for the alleged loss.
A spokesperson for the Osefos told Us Weekly that the couple is "home safely" and looking forward to addressing the matter in court, asking for privacy as they focus on family and legal proceedings.
Bravo executive Andy Cohen commented on the situation on Andy Cohen Live, saying he was “really sad” to hear the news and called Wendy “a great housewife and a great role model.”
Osefo joined The Real Housewives of Potomac in Season 5 in 2020. Her upcoming appearance on Bravo’s new series Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition has been postponed to October 21 amid the legal developments.
