Real Housewives of Potomac, cast member Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward 'Eddie' Osefo, were arrested this week on multiple fraud-related charges, officials from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in Westminster, Maryland, confirmed to Page Six.
The couple was taken into custody on Thursday and released after each posted a $50,000 bond. According to a public information officer from the sheriff’s office, Wendy faces a total of 15 charges, including seven felony counts of false or misleading information fraud involving amounts over $300, seven related misdemeanor counts, and one misdemeanor charge for making a false statement to an officer.
Eddie Osefo faces 18 charges in total, including nine felony counts of similar fraud, eight related misdemeanors, and one misdemeanor for providing false information to law enforcement.
The pair’s mugshots were released Friday, showing both Wendy and Eddie smiling during their booking. Dressed in standard gray jail-issued T-shirts, Wendy appeared largely makeup-free aside from wearing false eyelashes and styled her hair in a half-up, half-down look while Eddie seemed disoriented and bleary eyed.

Wendy, 41, joined The Real Housewives of Potomac in 2020 and has also served as a political commentator on CNN. Beyond her television career, she holds a Ph.D. in public affairs and community development and owns a lifestyle and candle company, Onyi Home Essentials.
News of the arrests surfaced shortly after Wendy appeared at the Nigerian Independence Day Parade in New York City, where she served as Grand Marshal. She celebrated the occasion with a social media post highlighting her Nigerian heritage and was recognized with a Leadership and Impact award.
This development follows legal troubles for fellow RHOP castmate Karen Huger, who was released from jail in September after serving a sentence for DUI-related charges. Season 10 of the show premiered on October 5, with cameras capturing reactions to Huger’s return.
