Jennifer Lopez responds to claims her split from A-Rod was triggered by his alleged messages to Madison LeCroy

Jennifer Lopez has finally addressed speculation that her split from former fiancé Alex Rodriguez was caused by his alleged Instagram messages with Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy. The pop icon and actress, 56, gave a carefully worded response during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday night.

During a segment of the show’s “Plead The Fifth” game, host Andy Cohen broached the topic that has circulated for years — claims that Rodriguez’s alleged online interaction with LeCroy played a role in the couple’s 2021 breakup.

“The Bravoverse will kill me if I do not ask this next question,” Cohen said, referencing a Southern Charm reunion in which it was suggested that Rodriguez had DM’d a cast member. “There was a lot of speculation that those DMs somehow led to your breakup,” Cohen continued, pressing Lopez to clarify what really happened.

After a brief pause, Lopez responded with a laugh, saying, “You know, I really have nothing to say about my personal life anymore,” before adding, “I feel like I’m done with that.” Her playful yet firm response was met with applause from the audience.

Lopez and Rodriguez, 50, began dating in 2017 and announced their engagement in March 2019. Although their wedding plans were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the pair seemed to remain strong until rumors of Rodriguez’s alleged contact with LeCroy began circulating in 2021.

LeCroy was questioned about the rumors during the Southern Charm Season 7 reunion, where she admitted to exchanging messages with a former MLB player but denied any in-person meetings. A source close to Rodriguez told The Post at the time that although he might have “liked a photo or two,” he did not know LeCroy personally and had never met her.

A source told Page Six in March 2021 that the scandal ultimately led to the couple’s breakup, despite existing relationship issues. Lopez has since rekindled — and ended — her marriage with Ben Affleck and remains single for now.
