A Tesla registered to singer D4vd was reported abandoned nearly two weeks before the body of missing teen Celeste Rivas-Hernandez was discovered inside it, according to new details revealed by a private investigator.

Celeste, who had been missing since April 2024 at age 13, was found in the trunk of the vehicle on September 8.

Records obtained by investigator Steve Fischer show that a complaint about the Tesla was made on August 26, with citations issued on August 27 and September 3.

The car was ultimately towed on September 5, three days before her remains were found.

Neighbors told Fischer the car had not moved “for over a month,” noting it was parked close to the Hollywood Hills mansion where D4vd had been staying.

Fischer said the vehicle’s location was in a “strategic area” with limited foot traffic.

Reports noted only a dent as an identifying feature of the vehicle, without reference to odor. Following the discovery, D4vd canceled his tour and ended the lease on the Hollywood Hills home.

Meanwhile, sources told NewsNation and TMZ that friends in the Los Angeles music scene believed D4vd and Celeste were “romantically involved,” though many assumed she was a USC student rather than a teenager.

The investigation into Celeste’s death remains ongoing.
