The death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas continues to raise troubling questions after her remains were discovered earlier this month inside a Tesla registered to musician D4vd.
While authorities have not filed charges against the 20-year-old rapper, new claims from people said to be close to him are drawing attention to his possible connection with the teen.
According to a report from TMZ, individuals described as friends of D4vd said they often saw Celeste at parties in Los Angeles and believed she was significantly older than 15.
Some assumed she was 19 and even thought she was his girlfriend, pointing out that she presented herself as a college student and claimed to be enrolled at USC.
Sources added that Celeste allegedly used fake IDs, which allowed her to enter clubs and venues with strict age requirements, further convincing people she was an adult.
“I was stunned to hear she was only 14 when she first entered the scene,” one acquaintance reportedly said.
While these accounts suggest Celeste had access to adult spaces, others emphasized that D4vd was generally perceived as shy and reserved, casting doubt on whether he had a direct role in her death.
In addition to questions about her social life, reports indicate Celeste may have been facing difficulties at home. Law enforcement sources claimed she had run away multiple times in 2024, and teachers and neighbors recalled her family’s desperate attempts to find her before she disappeared permanently.
Celeste’s remains were discovered on September 8, when authorities responded to reports of a foul odor coming from an abandoned Tesla in Los Angeles.
After forensic testing and identification through a tattoo, investigators confirmed the victim was Rivas, who had just turned 15 a day earlier.
The LAPD has since executed a search warrant at a residence linked to D4vd and seized electronic devices. However, legal experts note that without an established cause and manner of death, police do not have the grounds to pursue an arrest.
For now, the investigation remains open, with each new revelation continuing to fuel both speculation and concern.
