An old comment on TikTok has re-emerged as authorities continue investigating the death of teenager Celeste Rivas, whose body was discovered in a Tesla registered to singer D4vd, known for his song “Romantic Homicide.”
The February 25, 2024 comment, made by an unidentified user, criticized D4vd for allegedly being involved with an underage girl.
It reads: “waiting for LAPD to get your a– for messing with a 13 year old girl.”
for the people that are still denying he even knew celeste rivas hernandez. idk how you can even still deny even after all the evidence but anyway. people knew. they would comment on d4vd tiktoks. pic.twitter.com/SF9ApDKm37

At that time, Rivas was 13 years old, and D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke—was nearly 19.
Rivas’ remains were recovered on September 9, 2025, in the trunk of a car connected to D4vd. Despite this and other circumstantial evidence, including matching tattoos reportedly shared by the pair, an unreleased song referencing a girl named Celeste, and accusations from a former teacher, D4vd has not been arrested.
Investigators have searched one of D4vd’s residences for potential evidence. Rivas’ mother confirmed her daughter had been missing for roughly a year and had been involved with a man named David. Amid the investigation, D4vd has canceled his world tour and lost multiple endorsement deals.
Legal analyst Brian Buckmire, speaking on Good Morning America, explained why authorities have not questioned D4vd.
“Law enforcement does not yet have enough evidence to confront him, particularly without an autopsy report establishing cause and manner of death,” he said.
Investigators continue following leads, while public attention and speculation remain intense regarding D4vd’s possible connection to Rivas’ death.
