D4vd’s streams surge amid Celeste Rivas case
Amid the Celeste Rivas case, D4vd’s music streams have sharply increased.

Earlier this month, 20-year-old musician D4vd was thrust into the spotlight after authorities discovered the remains of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas in a car linked to him.
While the investigation continues and his tour has been canceled, the artist has unexpectedly seen a surge in music streams.
According to Billboard, D4vd’s catalog streams have more than doubled since the story broke. From September 18–22, his music earned 30.3 million official on-demand US streams, compared to 13.8 million in the prior five-day period.
His viral track “Romantic Homicide,” which first gained traction in 2022, saw a particularly sharp increase, jumping from 2.9 million to 9.4 million streams within a week.
Despite speculation, law enforcement officials have clarified that D4vd has not been arrested or named a suspect in Rivas’ death.
The LAPD has not confirmed the case as a homicide, though its Homicide Division is investigating as the cause of death remains undetermined.
Authorities first located the body on September 8 in a Tesla that had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills and later impounded.
Identification took over a week due to the advanced state of decomposition. Rivas’ mother later confirmed her daughter had been missing for more than a year and had been dating someone named “David.”
D4vd has since canceled his remaining tour dates but continues to cooperate with the investigation.
A spokesperson for the artist reiterated that he is assisting law enforcement as authorities work to establish the circumstances of Rivas’ death.
