“Saturday Night Live” has announced the first three hosts for Season 51, bringing together music, comedy, and returning fan favorites.
The new season will premiere on October 4, with Bad Bunny serving as host and Doja Cat making her debut as the musical guest. This marks Bad Bunny’s second time hosting after previously pulling double duty in 2023. He first appeared on SNL as a musical guest in 2021 and made a cameo in 2020. His appearance comes ahead of his fall tour promoting his album Debí Tirar Más Fotos.
On October 11, former cast member Amy Poehler will return to host. Poehler was part of SNL from 2001 to 2008, best known for co-anchoring “Weekend Update.” This will be her third time hosting, following solo and co-host appearances in 2010 and 2015. She will be joined by Role Model, making his debut as musical guest. His recent single, Sally, When the Wine Runs Out, reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay chart.
Closing out the October lineup, Sabrina Carpenter will take the stage on October 18 as both host and musical guest. The singer, who previously performed on SNL during its Season 49 finale, is coming off the success of her new album Man’s Best Friend, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
“Saturday Night Live” is executive produced by Lorne Michaels and produced in association with Broadway Video. The long-running NBC sketch comedy show continues to draw top talent for its mix of comedy and music.
