Authorities in Georgia have arrested a man accused of stealing unreleased music, tour set lists, and other belongings from Beyoncé’s choreographer earlier this summer.

Kelvin Evans was taken into custody on Tuesday, Sept. 16, in Hapeville, Georgia, in connection with a break-in that occurred on July 8, according to jail records obtained by People. He has been charged with one count of entering an automobile with intent to commit theft or felony and is being held at the Fulton County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

The theft took place at the Ayla apartment building’s parking garage in Atlanta, where choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue had parked their rented Jeep Wagoneer ahead of Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour stop. Police reports cited by CNN and Atlanta News First state that several items were stolen, including laptops, clothing, sunglasses, two suitcases, headphones, and flash drives containing unreleased music, show footage, and future concert set lists. Investigators said the stolen hard drives have not been recovered.

Surveillance cameras reportedly captured the getaway vehicle, a 2025 Hyundai Elantra with Georgia plates. The car’s registered owner told authorities she had rented it to her mother to cover expenses, and that Evans later borrowed the vehicle, promising to use it briefly. According to the incident report, Evans instead kept the car for around 30 minutes, later instructing his niece to help him unload several bags at an apartment complex. Footage from the building’s security cameras showed Evans, his niece, and a child removing bags from the car before Evans left the scene on a bicycle.

In addition to the theft charge, jail records show Evans was also arrested on Aug. 26 for a parole violation. Authorities noted he has an extensive criminal history dating back to 2002, including prior arrests for armed robbery, aggravated assault, and theft-related offenses.

The investigation remains ongoing, police told CNN, as efforts continue to locate the stolen hard drives containing Beyoncé’s unreleased material.
