Bruce Willis is facing further health challenges as he continues to live with frontotemporal dementia, according to reports. The actor, best known for Die Hard, was diagnosed with the condition in 2023 after initially experiencing aphasia.

A family insider told the Daily Mail that his condition is “going downhill fast” and revealed that he no longer recognises “some faces.” Despite this decline, those close to Willis said he still enjoys spending time with his children, often brightening when they are around.

His wife, Emma Heming Willis, recently moved him into a separate residence where he has 24/7 access to a dedicated care team. While some online criticism followed this decision, sources close to the family have stressed that “there is no drama” and that the entire family supports Emma’s approach to his care.

Emma, who has spoken publicly about the challenges of caregiving, has been working to raise awareness of dementia.

She addressed critics during a conversation with Diane Sawyer, saying she is often “judged quickly and unfairly by those who haven’t lived this journey.” She explained that sharing openly helps connect with other families in similar situations.

She has also written about her experiences in her forthcoming memoir, The Unexpected Journey, where she reflects on caregiving and the lessons she has learned.

Willis’ children, including Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis, have continued to share updates and memories with their father, ensuring he is surrounded by family support.

A second source told the Daily Mail that while his care is “a massive undertaking,” the family makes the most of their time together, whether by dancing, watching television, or sharing meals.

Despite the challenges, his family remains focused on giving him the best possible quality of life.
