Jack Osbourne has criticised Roger Waters following remarks the Pink Floyd co-founder made about his late father, Ozzy Osbourne.

Waters, 81, spoke to The Independent Ink in August, where he said: “Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him in his whatever that state that he was in his whole life. We’ll never know. The music, I have no idea. I couldn’t give a f–k.” He added that he never cared about Black Sabbath and had “no interest in biting the heads off chickens or whatever they do.”

The comments circulated this week, prompting Ozzy’s son Jack to respond on Instagram. “Hey [Roger Waters], f–k you. How pathetic and out of touch you’ve become,” he wrote in his Instagram Stories.

He added: “The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out bulls–t in the press. My father always thought you were a c–t – thanks for proving him right.” Jack concluded his message with a clown emoji and the hashtag “f–krogerwaters.”

Ozzy Osbourne, frontman of Black Sabbath and later a solo artist, died on July 22 2025 aged 76, following a battle with Parkinson’s disease. His family — wife Sharon and children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack — released a joint statement describing him as surrounded by love at the time of his death.

The singer performed his final show with Black Sabbath on July 5 in Birmingham, England. Fellow musician Tom Morello said Ozzy “knew it would be his last performance,” calling it both a tragedy and a miracle that he had lived as long as he did.

Ozzy was laid to rest at his Buckinghamshire home on July 31, with tributes from across the music world. Jack Osbourne later honoured his father with a personal statement, reflecting on his life and legacy.
