Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce allegedly planning wedding without parental input
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly keep wedding plans private despite close family ties

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly managing the planning of their upcoming wedding independently, with both families said to be supportive but not directly involved in decision-making.
According to sources cited in reports, the couple are working closely with a wedding planner while retaining control over key arrangements.
An insider stated that “both sets of parents are all really happy and think getting married is the right thing for them to do because they’re old school and wanted him to put a ring on Taylor’s finger,” but added that “none of them are involved in the wedding planning, although surprisingly Travis is”.
The same source indicated that Swift is playing a leading role in shaping the event. “Taylor’s not the official wedding planner, but most of the ideas are hers. She’s used to taking control. This will be her big day and along with Travis she’ll be the mastermind,” the insider said.
They also noted the couple’s joint approach, adding: “She literally runs everything past him. If they don’t agree on something they scrap it.”
Despite their limited involvement in planning, both families are described as maintaining close relationships with the couple. Sources said they frequently spend time together at family gatherings, holidays and sporting events.
“Taylor and Travis are big on family, so when they can have any functions, they want their parents there and they love it,” one insider shared.
Reports suggest the wedding is expected to take place in New York, with preparations already underway for an early July ceremony. Swift is said to prefer an indoor venue to ensure privacy and security.
When asked about her involvement, Donna Kelce said, “Oh… is a groom’s mother ever involved?” and later added, “I’m just happy, just so happy for them.”
