Disney+ has released the first trailer for Marvel Zombies, the upcoming four-episode animated series set to premiere on September 24.
The show will mark Marvel’s first TV-MA animated project, featuring graphic violence, dismemberment, and a darker tone compared to previous Marvel releases.
One of the biggest reveals in the trailer is the debut of Blade Knight, a variant that combines Moon Knight and Blade. Voiced by Todd Williams, the character delivers a standout moment by battling an undead Ghost from the Thunderbolts. This marks the official animated introduction of Blade in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, following earlier appearances of Wesley Snipes’ original portrayal and Mahershala Ali’s yet-to-debut version.
The series continues the storyline introduced in What If...?, specifically the episode “What If…Zombies?,” which depicted a Marvel universe overtaken by a zombie virus. Returning characters include Ms. Marvel, Kate Bishop, Yelena Belova, Okoye, Captain America, Wanda Maximoff, Namor, Abomination, and more.
The voice cast is stacked with Marvel stars such as Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Tessa Thompson, Simu Liu, Hailee Steinfeld, Wyatt Russell, Randall Park, Iman Vellani, and Dominique Thorne.
Marvel Zombies is created by Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells, who also serve as executive producers alongside Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, and Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt. Originally adapted from Robert Kirkman’s 2005 Marvel Zombies comic series, the show offers fans a bloodier, more mature take on the Marvel multiverse.
