Nicholas Braun, best known for his Emmy-nominated role as “Cousin Greg” on HBO’s Succession, was arrested over Labor Day weekend in Moultonborough, New Hampshire, on suspicion of driving under the influence. The 37-year-old actor was pulled over on the night of Saturday, August 31, and taken into custody for DUI impairment and operating a vehicle without lights, according to reports from TMZ and Us Weekly.

Braun was held briefly at the Carroll County Jail but was released approximately an hour later on his own recognizance. No bail was required, and he is scheduled to appear in court on September 16. A mugshot was not taken, as the jail's camera system was reportedly not functioning at the time of his booking.

The arrest comes as a surprise to fans of the popular HBO series, in which Braun portrayed the awkward but calculating Greg Hirsch over four seasons. His performance earned him three Emmy nominations and widespread acclaim for his comedic timing and character development.

Beyond Succession, Braun has built a diverse acting résumé. His film credits include Zola, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Sky High, and Poltergeist. He also starred in Dream Scenario alongside Nicolas Cage and is part of the cast for the upcoming Ruben Östlund film The Entertainment System Is Down. He will also appear in the comedy Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie, sharing the screen with Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Bryan Cranston.

As of now, neither Braun nor his representatives have issued a public statement regarding the arrest. The incident adds a legal complication to what has otherwise been a successful year in Braun’s post-Succession career. His upcoming court date will likely shed more light on the situation.
