Jackie Chan has revealed his connection to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the upcoming fourth Spider-Man film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Speaking with Hong Kong outlet HK01, Chan explained he travelled to London to visit the set, where his Jackie Chan Stunt Team has been working on the production. “My Jackie Chan Stunt Team was busy filming Spider-Man, and I was the action director for the Jackie Chan Stunt Team,” Chan confirmed.
While his team is contributing, the star clarified he is not part of the cast. “I went to watch their rehearsals, and the director [Destin Daniel Cretton] was quite surprised to see me. I made sure he understood that they are part of my team.”
Chan also praised Tom Holland’s dedication as Spider-Man, saying, “I heard the young man paid tribute to my films in a lot of action scenes and has done stunts by himself.”
Production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day began in August in Scotland, before moving to Pinewood Studios in England.
Confirmed returning cast includes Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, and Michael Mando as Scorpion. New additions include Sadie Sink, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Tramell Tillman, with Sink reportedly portraying an ally to Peter Parker.
Sony will release Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31, 2026, as part of MCU Phase 6.
