Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged, and fans are celebrating both the love story and a sweet bonus.

Krispy Kreme has announced it will give away free doughnuts on Monday, Aug. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. local time at participating U.S. locations in honor of the couple’s headline-making news.

The pop star and NFL player confirmed their engagement through a five-photo Instagram carousel showing Kelce proposing on one knee amid a bed of flowers. Their caption humorously read, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” One of the standout images highlighted Swift’s custom ring, featuring an old mine brilliant cut by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.

The announcement quickly went viral, with fans and celebrities sharing congratulations across social media. Krispy Kreme amplified the celebration by posting on X (formerly Twitter): “FREE doughnuts for the class,” making the engagement a nationwide event.

Swift and Kelce’s relationship has been closely followed since 2023, when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end admitted he failed to give the singer a friendship bracelet during her Eras Tour stop. That missed moment sparked a romance that soon became one of pop culture’s most talked-about stories. Swift later supported Kelce at 13 NFL games, including Super Bowl LVIII, while he attended 14 of her Eras Tour shows worldwide.

From lyric changes in Swift’s set list to public displays of support, the couple’s journey has blended music, sports, and pop culture. Now, with their engagement officially announced, their love story is being celebrated with both congratulations—and free glazed doughnuts.
