Nick Lachey is weighing in on one of the more unexpected celebrity debates—cats and allergies.
The 98 Degrees singer and Love Is Blind host recently shared his support for Taylor Swift in a lighthearted discussion involving NFL star Jason Kelce’s cat allergy and his wife Kylie Kelce’s love for pets.
Speaking with Access Hollywood while promoting Purina ONE LiveClear’s “LiveClear, Love Clear” campaign, Lachey explained how the brand’s new video series aims to help couples manage relationship challenges when one partner is allergic to cats. He noted that the topic has recently gone viral thanks to Swift’s playful take on the Kelce family’s situation.
Swift, who is famously devoted to her three cats, joked during a debate on the New Heights podcast that Jason should find a way to live peacefully with Kylie’s cats despite his allergies. Lachey agreed with Swift’s sentiment, saying that compromise is often key in relationships—something his Purina partnership is highlighting.
Beyond pet allergies, Lachey also reflected on his reality TV hosting career with wife Vanessa. He described working on Netflix’s Love Is Blind as “marriage therapy,” admitting the process has deepened their own relationship. Lachey also touched on the Perfect Match Season 3 finale, revealing he was surprised that AD and Ollie were the only couple to remain together.
As for how his children view his career, Lachey said his kids are more fascinated by his pop culture presence than his past as a chart-topping musician. “They know me more from TV now than from 98 Degrees,” he added.
