Katie Holmes had a special visitor on the New York City set of her upcoming film Happy Hours — her daughter, Suri Cruise. The 19-year-old joined her mother during filming this week, as Holmes continues work on the project, which she is both directing and writing.
Holmes, 46, was seen walking with Suri while holding what appeared to be a script. Dressed in a blue patterned bathrobe over jeans and sneakers, the actress appeared to be in costume, with her hair styled in a tousled updo. Suri, meanwhile, kept things casual in khaki cargo pants paired with a white camisole, red sneakers, and a brown belt. She carried a brown leather tote and opted for a natural look without makeup or jewelry.
Holmes was also photographed alongside her Dawson’s Creek co-star Joshua Jackson on set. The two appeared to share a lighthearted moment, with Holmes smiling widely, highlighting their enduring on-screen chemistry. The pair starred as Joey Potter and Pacey Witter on the popular teen drama, whose characters ended up together when the series concluded in 2003. They briefly dated in real life during the show's run in 1998.
Despite not staying in frequent contact, Jackson, 47, shared earlier this year that he and Holmes remain “very close,” according to past interviews.
Suri, Holmes' only child with actor Tom Cruise, has been spending her summer break before heading back to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she will begin her sophomore year this fall. She remains estranged from her father and has largely maintained a private life away from the spotlight.
Happy Hours marks another creative venture for Holmes as she continues to expand her career behind the camera.
