A child died while two others suffered serious injuries when a wall of a house collapsed due to heavy rain in the village of Aldo in Tehsil Ghazi on Tuesday. The child was identified as Shawaal Irfan.
The injured children were immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where their condition was reported as critical.
Several trees were also uprooted during the storm, disrupting traffic flow and partially suspending the electricity supply.
On Tuesday evening, a sudden dust storm followed by heavy rainfall wreaked havoc in the Tehsil Ghazi and surrounding areas. The famous Tuesday market in Ghazi was severely affected by the storm and rain, with dozens of stalls uprooted.
Vegetables, fruits, and other food items worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were either blown away by strong winds or washed away by rainwater.
