The Faisalabad Police Department has released its annual comparative crime analysis for the years 2024 and 2025, showcasing significant progress in crime prevention, response, and enforcement.

The data paints a promising picture of improved public safety, with sharp declines in nearly all major crime categories and stronger action against illegal activities.

According to the report, Faisalabad witnessed a dramatic reduction in violent and property crimes over the past year.

Incidents of dacoity coupled with murder were halved in 2025 compared to the previous year.

Similarly, standalone cases of dacoity dropped by 59 percent, and robberies declined by 20 percent.

Crimes involving vehicle snatching and theft also saw a notable decrease, with car snatching falling by 62 percent, motorcycle snatching by 24 percent, and car theft and motorcycle theft decreasing by 14 and 27 percent respectively.

These reductions reflect the increased efficiency of the police force, aided by smarter patrol strategies and enhanced community engagement.

The improvement in crime control is also evident in the data from the emergency response system. Calls to the emergency number 15 for house robbery were down by 34 percent, while robbery calls decreased by 17 percent.

Reports of car snatching and general theft experienced sharp drops of 62 and 55 percent respectively, indicating a broader decline in street crime.

Reports of vehicle snatching and bike thefts also trended downward, showcasing a safer environment for commuters and residents.

In the fight against narcotics, the police registered a total of 1,518 cases in 2025. Seizures included 488 kilograms of charas, 100 kilograms of heroin, 17 kilograms of opium, 15.91 kilograms of ICE, and over 20,000 liters of liquor.

The department made notable strides in targeting large-scale traffickers, increasing seizures of charas over 5 kilograms by 29 percent and heroin over 1 kilogram by an impressive 97 percent compared to 2024.

The arrest of high-profile offenders, categorized as Category A proclaimed offenders (POs), also improved.

A total of 630 Category A POs were arrested in 2025, marking a 17 percent increase from the previous year.

These arrests included individuals involved in serious crimes such as murder, dacoity, kidnapping for ransom, and vehicle snatching.

Efforts to control the spread of illegal weapons remained a top priority. In 2025, police registered 1,345 cases related to illegal arms.

Seizures included 1,080 pistols, 93 rifles, 79 guns, four revolvers, and over 4,800 cartridges.

This crackdown played a key role in reducing the circulation of illegal firearms, contributing to the overall drop in violent crimes.

Child safety and public assistance services also showed encouraging results.

Of the 451 reported cases of lost children, the police successfully reunited 442 children with their families.

In the domain of domestic violence, 96 cases were registered, with 23 cancelled, 27 under investigation, and 46 formally challaned, reflecting active legal follow-up.

This comprehensive performance summary for 2025 reflects the Faisalabad Police Department’s ongoing commitment to law and order.

With increased arrests, efficient handling of emergency calls, and targeted operations against narcotics and illegal arms, the department has set a high standard for urban policing.
