Nick Cannon is known for his entertainment career, but his growing family has kept him in the headlines just as much. The 44-year-old ‘Wild ‘N Out’ host, who has fathered 12 children with six women since 2011, revealed on his podcast ‘We Playin’ Spades’ that he’s finally considering a vasectomy.
During a discussion about the procedure with former NFL player Ryan Clark, Cannon admitted, “Getting a vasectomy is the responsible thing to do,” but quickly added, “I’m just—not done [having children].”
Cannon’s comments come after years of declaring he leaves family planning “to the Lord.” His growing family includes twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey and his youngest daughter, Halo Marie Cannon, born in December 2022 with Alyssa Scott. The father of 12 has previously admitted that his “biggest guilt” is not spending enough time with all of his children, telling ‘The Checkup With Dr. Agus’ that he often feels “spread thin.”
Despite the consideration, Cannon’s stance remains noncommittal. When asked if he would have another child with one of his current partners, he responded, “I don’t know. That’s the thing. I leave it to the Lord.” The conversation took a humorous turn when co-host Courtney Bee noted a rise in Black men opting for vasectomies, with Cannon joking that the podcast felt like “an intervention.”
While Cannon reflects on potential fatherhood decisions, his name remains attached to high-profile relationships, including his past marriage to Carey. Meanwhile, his co-parents continue raising their children, with some speaking out about the challenges of maintaining a relationship with the busy media mogul.
