A four-year-old girl died in a house fire in Gut Seri in the limits of Shumlai police station in Battagram district, while another two women and a 21-year-old youth sustained injuries. Additionally, four livestock animals perished in the incident.
According to Shumlai police station, a fire erupted in a Cattle Shed in Gut Seri area last night for unknown reasons, which immediately engulfed four nearby houses. A four-year-old girl, Bushra, daughter of Saeedullah, was burnt-to-death, while her mother, aunt and cousin sustained burns and were transported to Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad by local residents.
The fire completely destroyed the four homes, reducing belongings worth millions to ashes. In addition, a buffalo and three cows were also killed in the incident. The police have started investigating the incident.
According to details, a fire broke out in a cattle shed near the residential houses belonging to Habib, Rafiullah, Zakir and Saeedullah, all brothers, who were living on the outskirts of Shumlai police station The fire engulfed nearby houses in a few moments.
