Kendrick Lamar has broken a new record on Spotify with the release of his track "Not Like Us," which came out in May 2024 and has quickly become one of the most-streamed songs on the platform.

Although "Not Like Us" was released several months ago, it continues to enjoy immense popularity. The song recently surpassed an impressive 1 billion streams on Spotify, as reported by Yahoo! Despite being available for only 250 days, it has become the first diss track to reach this milestone. Additionally, it is among the fastest songs to achieve 1 billion streams. For context, Lil Nas X’s 2021 hit “Industry Baby” featuring Jack Harlow reached the mark in 191 days, while Drake’s 2018 hit “God’s Plan” took 226 days, followed by “Not Like Us.”

The song’s record-breaking performance underscores Lamar’s dominance in the music industry, particularly in the streaming era. As one of the most influential and respected figures in hip-hop, Lamar’s ability to continue making waves with each release highlights his artistry and appeal to a wide audience.

In addition to the success of "Not Like Us," Lamar’s previous works have consistently broken records, with numerous songs and albums charting highly across multiple platforms. His impact on the music industry is undeniable, as he continues to push boundaries and redefine what it means to be a modern artist.
