On episode #2252 of The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan and Christian apologist Wesley Huff explored the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Rogan proposed an alternate theory, suggesting that Jesus may not have died on the cross but instead survived and later appeared to His disciples.

To support his hypothesis, Rogan cited a recent case of a man who, declared dead and prepared for organ harvesting, unexpectedly regained consciousness. “It’s a very, very bizarre case,” Rogan remarked, emphasizing the possibility of mistaken death declarations.

Huff countered Rogan’s theory with historical evidence, noting the efficiency of Roman crucifixion and the improbability of surviving such an ordeal. He added that a crucifixion survivor would likely be physically incapable of interacting with others just days later without showing signs of severe trauma.

Rogan, who was raised Roman Catholic but has since become agnostic, reflected on his evolving spiritual beliefs, admitting he has grown more open to the idea of a soul. This candid discussion marked a shift from Rogan’s recent political episodes, delving into philosophical and theological territory.
