Hector David Jr., known for his role as the Green Samurai Power Ranger, has been sentenced to jail after pleading guilty to assaulting an elderly man in Nampa, Idaho, last year.
The actor admitted to misdemeanor battery in Canyon County Court and received a 180-day jail sentence, of which 135 days were suspended. David is required to serve 45 days behind bars, followed by two years of supervised probation. He must also complete 100 hours of community service, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.
The incident occurred in July 2024 during a heated argument over a parking spot. Authorities reported that David shoved the elderly man, who used a walker, to the ground before fleeing the scene in his truck.
Although the victim was not seriously injured, footage of the assault, captured by a dashboard camera, was posted on the Nampa Police Department's Facebook page in August, urging the public to identify the attacker.
Community support played a crucial role in identifying David, leading to an arrest warrant and subsequent battery charges later that month. In an interview, Nampa police officer Erick Moore expressed gratitude for the community's assistance in quickly identifying the suspect.
Hector David Jr. starred in the Power Rangers franchise from 2011 to 2015. His sentencing underscores the serious consequences of his actions, as he now faces jail time and community service for the assault.
