Allison Holker, the widow of Stephen 'tWitch' Boss, is facing ongoing criticism over accusations that she is exploiting his death.
More than two years after the former Ellen DJ died by suicide, Holker, who was married to Boss from 2013 until his passing in 2022, shared with People that she plans to release a memoir titled This Far. In her interview about the book, set to release on February 4, the mother of three revealed finding a "cornucopia" of substances left behind by Boss, including mushrooms and pills. Boss was 40 at the time of his death.
"It was a really triggering moment for me because there were a lot of things I discovered in our closet that I did not know existed," Holker said, referencing Boss' alleged drug use.
On Instagram, fitness instructor and former Ellen guest Kelly Gibson questioned Holker’s statements, writing, "The whole thing makes me sad. He's gone. Why tear apart his name? I was fully supportive about you moving on and being happy, but this paycheck was not worth disgracing his name."
Holker responded to Gibson, stating, "I'll always love you. Just trying to help people feel safe to ask for help and support."

In the People feature, Holker also claimed that her late husband relied on self-medicating to cope with his depression, choosing not to share his struggles with others out of love and concern for those around him.
In a social media clip for People, Holker shared her efforts to emotionally support their children, family, friends, and fans, while acknowledging that she had not taken much time for her own healing.
On X (formerly Twitter), Darielle, a cousin of Boss, accused Holker of requiring the family to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to attend his funeral.

"She’s been trying to tarnish his legacy and refuses to let the Boss family see the children. Only to exploit and LIE on my cousin. Hell no," Darielle wrote.

Holker and Boss had three children: Weslie Fowler, 16 (from Holker’s prior relationship), along with Maddox, 8, and Zaia, 5. Reports suggest Holker began dating tech CEO Adam Edmunds last year.
