Gypsy Rose Blanchard, a TikTok creator with nearly 10 million followers, revealed her account was hacked early Friday morning. The alleged hacker demanded $400 to restore the account, which had its bio altered to read, "Anyone who violates rights becomes a hack freak. rustywrist."

Blanchard took to Instagram to share screenshots of her exchange with the hacker. Despite repeated demands, she firmly refused to pay, explaining that her finances are prioritized for bills and her soon-to-be-born child. She remarked, "Contrary to popular belief, I’m not a millionaire." The hacker questioned her stance, asking, "You don’t have $400?"

This incident underscores ongoing vulnerabilities in social media account security, particularly for high-profile users. Blanchard's resolute response has garnered widespread support from her followers, many of whom praised her for standing her ground and bringing attention to the issue.

As social media hacks become increasingly common, this case highlights the need for robust security measures on platforms like TikTok. While the platform has not yet commented on the matter, Blanchard’s experience serves as a stark reminder for users to enhance their online security.

Blanchard continues to share updates on her situation, turning her ordeal into a cautionary tale for others. Her resilience in the face of cybercrime not only raises awareness but also inspires her audience to prioritize their digital safety.
