RAWALPINDI:

In a bid to ensure transparency in the 2025 Matriculation and Intermediate examinations, the Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE)has announced plans to install Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras in all examination centres.

The upgraded system will also include enhancements to the paper marking process for annual, supplementary, and practical exams.

Board Chairman Adnan Khan has directed officials to provide details of CCTV cameras currently installed in government school and college examination halls across the Rawalpindi Division.

Institutions without surveillance systems will have cameras installed immediately.

Moving forward, private schools will no longer be designated as examination centres for these exams.

Starting next year, examination papers will be opened and distributed in front of students under CCTV camera surveillance to ensure fairness and integrity.

Details of installed cameras have been obtained from directors of colleges, deputy directors, and heads of district education authorities to facilitate the process.

A seminar on the upgraded paper marking system under the new examination system is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 17, at Rawalpindi Women's University (RWU). Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar will be the special guest at the event, which will also feature secretary of higher education, directors of colleges, education experts, professors, and teachers.

Participants are expected to share their insights and suggestions for further improvements.
