Houston rapper Trae Tha Truth is urgently seeking public assistance in finding his six-year-old daughter, Truth, who he claims was abducted by her mother almost four months ago.
On December 5, the 44-year-old artist shared an emotional plea on social media, revealing that his daughter has been missing since a scheduled visitation on August 16.
Trae explained that he dropped off Truth for a visit with her mother in Houston, expecting her to be returned as per their custody arrangement. However, despite a judge granting Trae full custody earlier this year, the mother never brought the child back. The rapper believes Truth is now homeless and not attending school, adding to his concern that she may be manipulated.
While U.S. Marshals are reportedly involved in the search, Trae expressed frustration, stating that more could be done. He also shared a photo of Truth with her mother, urging anyone who spots them to report the sighting without directly approaching. "My child’s safety is more important than my life," he wrote in his post, emphasizing the importance of bringing her home.
The rapper condemned anyone helping his daughter’s mother hide Truth, calling attention to the mental and emotional toll the situation is having on the young girl. Trae vowed to continue fighting relentlessly until she is safely returned to his care.
Known for his community work and advocacy, Trae Tha Truth, who has been a prominent figure in Texas hip-hop since 1998, ended his post with a heartfelt message to those supporting the mother: "What if this was their child that’s been kidnapped?"
