Lil Durk allegedly tried to outsmart FBI with multiple international flights amid federal charges

Lil Durk allegedly booked multiple flights to evade federal charges in a murder plot case but was arrested.

Rapper Lil Durk, 32, reportedly attempted to evade federal authorities by booking three international flights after the arrest of five associates connected to his Only the Family (OTF) crew, now facing charges for an alleged murder-for-hire plot. 

Sources close to the case told Mundo Deportivo that the rapper intended to “outmaneuver” federal agents, making arrangements for multiple flights to throw off investigators. However, his strategy fell short when he was apprehended at Miami’s Opa-Locka Executive Airport.

According to FBI documents, the rapper reserved two separate one-way commercial flights to Dubai and Switzerland, both of which he ultimately did not board. A third attempt involved a private jet scheduled to depart for Italy, but FBI agents detained him just an hour before the flight was set to take off. "It was a calculated move that he believed could bypass federal jurisdiction," an FBI source disclosed, emphasizing the extensive coordination required to monitor his movements across several jurisdictions.

Authorities allege that the rapper’s attempted departure was connected to the arrests of Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston, all charged in an alleged plot targeting rapper Quando Rondo. Lil Durk’s unexpected arrest highlights the intensifying scrutiny surrounding OTF’s activities as he now faces conspiracy charges tied to the murder plot.

While his legal team remains silent, sources familiar with the case suggest that the FBI is focused on preventing further flight risks. Lil Durk’s scheduled appearance in Broward County Court marks the next step in what may become a highly publicized legal battle.
