Pakistani actress and model Hania Aamir has hit back at a viral video circulating on social media, claiming the clip is a deepfake created using artificial intelligence (AI).

The video, which surfaced earlier this week, features a woman who closely resembles Hania Aamir, dressed in revealing attire and striking bold poses.

Initially shared by various social media pages, the footage was picked up by an entertainment site, which falsely identified the woman as Hania Aamir.

In response, the actress took to her Instagram stories, clarifying that the viral video is not hers.

"The bold video making rounds is fake and generated using AI," she said.

The actress expressed her frustration with the media for spreading misinformation, calling for better accountability.

Hania Aamir also raised concerns over the misuse of AI technology, questioning why there are no regulations in place to prevent such incidents.

"Someone needs to explain to these showbiz websites that this video is not mine," she said, demanding stricter laws to govern the application of AI in media content.

The actress's statement has drawn attention to the rising issue of deepfakes and their impact on public figures, sparking a conversation about privacy and the need for regulatory frameworks to address the misuse of AI.
