Venice Film Festival avoids exes Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie clash: No overlap in schedules

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are set to avoid any uncomfortable encounters this week while promoting their films at the Venice International Film Festival, as organizers have taken special measures to keep the former couple apart.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Venice artistic director Alberto Barbera mentioned that the festival carefully arranged the schedule to ensure the exes' films did not overlap.

“Angelina will be on the first day, on Thursday [Aug. 29], and she will leave right after with [‘Maria’ director] Pablo Larraín” for the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, Barbera said. “So Brad will arrive only on Saturday, to Venice. There is no way that they can cross each other at the Lido,” the famed island where the festival is held.

A source informed us that the Hollywood stars did not request the festival to space out their films.

“Neither asked for that, they were wise enough to realize,” said our source.

Jolie arrived in Italy on Wednesday and will premiere her film "Maria," which focuses on opera singer Maria Callas.

Pitt is scheduled to attend the premiere of his movie "Wolfs," co-starring George Clooney, on September 1.

Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, and the ex-couple has been embroiled in legal battles ever since.

Although their divorce is still unresolved, they are legally single and continue to dispute various issues, including the ownership of their renowned French winery, Château Miraval.

The tension has also affected their children, with some of their six kids even dropping Pitt’s last name.

It was reported earlier this month that the "Fight Club" actor has "virtually no contact" with his adult children and has "limited visits" with his younger kids due to his busy filming schedule for the racing movie, "F1."
