In a light-hearted blooper reel released by Netflix on Monday, July 8, Zac Efron, alongside his A Family Affair co-stars Nicole Kidman, Joey King, and Kathy Bates, brought humor to their romantic comedy set.
At the end of the reel, the 36-year-old actor engaged in a guessing game with his fellow cast members. Drawing a name from a bowl, Efron attempted to prompt Kidman and others to guess "Keith Urban," the real-life husband of the 57-year-old actress.
Despite Urban not appearing in the film, Efron playfully strummed an air guitar while hinting, "Oooh, um, plays guitar, married to someone here," prompting King to enthusiastically guess, "Keith Urban!"
Kidman burst into laughter at the mention of her husband, quickly covering her face with her hand in amusement.
A Family Affair, which premiered on Netflix on June 28, features Efron portraying Hollywood heartthrob Chris Cole, who endeavors to win the affections of renowned writer Brooke Harwood, played by Kidman. King stars as Brooke's daughter, Zara, in the romantic storyline.
In real life, Kidman and Urban recently celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary on June 25. Kidman commemorated the occasion with a romantic social media post showing Urban serenading her with a guitar.
The couple, who first met at a G'Day LA event in California in 2005, exchanged vows in 2006 at Australia's St. Patrick's Estate in the Sydney suburb of Manly.
Urban, during a heartfelt speech at the 49th AFI Life Achievement Award Gala on April 27, recalled the nervousness he felt upon meeting Kidman for the first time and the awe he experienced due to her "otherworldly aura."
Together, Kidman and Urban share two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Kidman also has two children, Bella and Connor, from her previous marriage to actor Tom Cruise.
The light-hearted blooper reel from A Family Affair showcases the camaraderie and fun on set among the talented cast, adding a playful touch to the behind-the-scenes moments of the romantic comedy.
