Nikki Glaser's parents apologize for calling Julia Roberts and Travis Kelce interaction "gross"

The internet was not impressed by comments made by Nikki Glaser's parents about Julia Roberts during Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.

Comedian Nikki Glaser's mom and dad, Julie and Edward Glaser, recently caused a stir with their reaction to the Oscar winner greeting Travis Kelce at Swift's June 30 concert in Dublin.

"She's so gross," Julie remarked in an Instagram Story shared on July 1, as she watched a video of Julia and Travis chatting in the VIP tent, prompting Nikki to respond, "Isn't that a little much?"

Commenting on the "weird" placement of Julia's hand on the Kansas City Chiefs player's chest, Julie joked that it looked like the Pretty Woman star was "itching" him.

Edward also found the interaction puzzling, suggesting that Travis appeared to be "trying to get away from" Julia.

Julie humorously added, "She's trying to French kiss him right now."

While Nikki and her parents initially didn't think much of their comments, they were surprised to find it had made tabloid headlines the next day.

"Probably should have said something different than the word 'gross,'" Julie admitted on Nikki's Instagram Story on July 2. "It's a weird word, too. It's not a nice word. I didn't realize."

"So, I'm issuing an apology right now for using the word 'gross,'" she continued, though she maintained that Julia's interaction with Travis was "really weird."

In the video, Nikki reassured fans that her mom "retracts" her use of the word "gross" to describe Julia and Travis' encounter.
