Will Reeve, the son of the late Christopher Reeve, is set to honor his father's legacy by making a cameo appearance in the new Superman movie. Reeve, who works as an ABC News correspondent, was seen filming a scene for the movie in Cleveland, where he reportedly plays a TV news reporter.
His appearance in the film is a fitting tribute to his father, who famously portrayed Superman in four films between 1978 and 1987. Christopher Reeve passed away in 2004 after a tragic horse riding accident left him quadriplegic. His life and struggles were documented in the emotional documentary Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, which premiered at this year's Sundance Film Festival.
The new Superman movie, directed by James Gunn, will star David Corenswet in the titular role, replacing Henry Cavill. The film's plot has been kept under wraps, but it is said to focus on Superman balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing.
