Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin are “back on”

Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin are in a positive phase of their relationship.

According to a source close to the couple, as Johnson, aged 34, debuts her new film ‘Daddio’ at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City and Martin, aged 47, embarks on a global tour with his band Coldplay this summer, the couple, who have been together for a while, are still “going strong.” 

“They’ve had ups and downs, but now they’re definitely back on," said the source, as reported by PEOPLE. 

Johnson and Martin's latest public appearance was in February when they were photographed enjoying a beach outing during a trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. 

The couple officially started dating around 2017, which was three years after Martin and his former wife Gwyneth Paltrow famously "consciously uncoupled." Paltrow and Martin finalized their divorce in 2016.

The pair have typically kept their relationship private over the years. As a source told PEOPLE in March, the couple "got engaged years ago but were in no rush to get married."

Other than ‘Daddio', Johnson also stars in the new movie ‘Am I Ok?’, which is streaming on Max now.
