YouTuber Comicstorian dies after accident

YouTuber Ben Potter, known as Comicstorian, died at the age of 40.

YouTube star Ben Potter, widely known as Comicstorian, passed away at the age of 40 on June 8, 2024, in what his wife Nathalie described as "an unfortunate accident." 

Ben, who had over three million subscribers on YouTube, was beloved for creating audio dramas of comic books and discussing the Marvel and DC Universes on his channel.

Nathalie shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), expressing the profound impact Ben had on both his fans and loved ones. 

"To many of you, he was Comicstorian, voicing stories from across multiple different mediums. To his loved ones, he was one of the best and most supportive individuals anyone could ask for," she wrote, without detailing the accident.

Describing Ben's character, Nathalie said, "He was loving and genuine, always making time for his loved ones and ensuring they were okay. He was our rock." 

She emphasised the need for privacy as she grieves and figures out her next steps, stating her priority is preserving Ben's legacy.

Ben's channel, one of his greatest accomplishments, featured nearly 4,000 videos, with his last upload titled "Why DC's Reboots Beat Marvel" shared just a day before his death. Nathalie and the team plan to continue Ben's work, honoring his passion for storytelling and keeping his memory alive. "We supported each other on everything we wanted to do and I'm not about to stop now," she concluded.
