Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo attended Paul McCartney family party amid feud rumours
Paul McCartney said Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo attended family party amid past feud rumours

Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo were reportedly among the guests at a party organised by Paul McCartney’s wife and daughter, according to comments shared by the Beatles musician during a recent radio interview.
Speaking to BBC Radio 2, McCartney discussed modern pop stars and mentioned both Swift and Rodrigo while reflecting on a gathering hosted by members of his family.
The conversation began when the interviewer asked whether McCartney would offer advice to Swift regarding solo touring.
McCartney responded that the singer did not need advice from him, describing himself as “the grandad” of the current generation of artists. During the interview, he also revealed that Swift and Rodrigo had attended the same party organised by his wife and daughter.
The reported appearance attracted attention online because of long-running speculation about tension between the two singers.
Rumours about a possible feud first emerged in 2021 after Rodrigo said her song “Deja Vu” had been inspired by Swift’s “Cruel Summer”.
Following the song’s release, Swift, Jack Antonoff and St. Vincent received co-writing credits on “Deja Vu”. The development led to widespread online discussion about music credits and songwriting inspiration.
Rodrigo later addressed the rumours in a 2023 interview with Rolling Stone, where she denied claims of personal conflict. “I don’t have beef with anyone. I’m very chill,” she said.
Discussing the songwriting credits situation, Rodrigo added, “At the time, it was very confusing.” She continued, “It’s not something that I was super involved in. It was more team-on-team.”
Rodrigo also said, “I don’t think I would ever personally do that. But who’s to say where I’ll be in 20, 30 years. All that I can do is write my songs and focus on what I can control.”
Earlier this year, Swift and Rodrigo were also reportedly seen speaking with friends after leaving one of McCartney’s concerts, further prompting fan discussion surrounding their relationship.
