'DHA wali maid’ celebrates getting her children into a better school
Content creator shares how her journey helped open new educational opportunities for her children

For some, social media is a space to share everyday moments. For ‘DHA wali maid’, it has become a platform that has helped her create new opportunities for herself and her children.
The content creator recently shared her journey from working in multiple households to becoming a social media personality, revealing how her growing online presence has helped her work towards providing her children with better educational opportunities.
She first gained attention online after revealing that her employer had encouraged her to share videos of her daily life on Instagram. Her simple routines and relatable content quickly resonated with audiences, helping her build a following.
Rather than focusing solely on her own success, however, she has chosen to use the opportunities that have come her way to invest in her children’s future.
In a recent Instagram post, she shared that she had enrolled her children in a new school. “I got my kids admitted into a new school,” she wrote in the caption.
In the accompanying video, she can be seen preparing a meal for her children while also filming a promotional video featuring her new outfits.
Reflecting on the early days of her employment, she said she initially earned Rs6,000 while also working in three other households.
“When I first started working at my employer’s house, I was only making 6k and used to work at three other people’s houses too,” she said. “One day, she told me she wanted me to work full-time. Then my salary went up, and I wanted them to move out of government school and into a private school.”
“I had been waiting for the new year to start so I could get them into a better school,” she added.
She said she explored several schools in Lahore’s Defence area, including Aitchison College, Beaconhouse and The City School, as she looked for educational opportunities for her children.
Her school search also became a source of attraction for her followers. Some of her videos gained traction online because of her light-hearted and comedic approach, with clips showing her walking around school campuses, interacting with students and playfully joining in with Gen Z trends and gestures.
Followers applauded her efforts in the comments, describing her as “an inspiration” and a “super mama”.
What began as a simple suggestion from her employer to share her daily life online has since developed into a platform of its own. Her videos have given audiences a glimpse into her everyday routines, while her growing social media presence has also opened up new opportunities.
For ‘DHA wali maid’, however, one of the most meaningful outcomes appears to be the ability to use those opportunities to work towards a better future for her children.
Her story offers a different perspective on social media success — one where followers and viral videos are not the end goal, but a means of creating opportunities for the next generation.
