Princess Eugenie appeared to subtly reference Meghan Markle with her outfit choice at the Duke of Westminster's wedding at Chester Cathedral last Friday.

Despite Prince Harry being an old friend of the Duke, he and Meghan opted to stay away from the wedding due to their ongoing rift with the Royal Family.

According to the the Daily Express, Eugenie, who remains on good terms with the Sussexes, wore a sage green Knit Weave Plissé Dubois Dress by Joseph, paired with nude Aquazzura heels.

Interestingly, these shoes are the same style Meghan wore during her engagement photocall with Harry in 2017, where she paired them with a green dress and cream wrap coat. Aquazzura is a favorite among the Royal Family, with Princess Kate and Princess Beatrice also sporting the brand's footwear.

The suede Matilde heels, featuring an intricate strapped design wrapping around the foot and ankle, retail at £620. Eugenie had previously worn these heels to another royal wedding, that of Prince Christian of Hanover and Alessandra de Osma. Her Joseph dress, originally priced at £545, is now available at £272, and her Emily London Sabina Pillbox Hat is on sale for £885, the Daily Express reports.

Meghan also chose Aquazzura shoes for her wedding day in 2018, opting for a white satin pair with baby blue soles for the evening reception. Eugenie and Prince William were the main royals attending the Duke's wedding to Olivia Henson, with Prince William serving as an usher.

According to The Times, Prince Harry was initially invited but agreed it was best to stay away to avoid overshadowing the event and creating awkwardness, especially given his strained relationship with Prince  William. Princess Kate was unable to join William at the wedding as she continued her cancer treatment, remaining out of the spotlight.
