Bridgerton’s Jessica Madsen announces she's 'in love with a woman' in celebration of Pride Month

Jessica Madsen, known for her role as Cressida Cowper in Bridgerton, is sharing insights into her identity and romantic relationships as she commemorates the beginning of Pride Month.

Additionally, the actor posted a straightforward selfie, capturing herself up close while donning a vibrant tie-dyed T-shirt, rainbow rhinestones on her face, and a bucket hat adorned with the words "LOVE SUPREME."

In her caption, Madsen expressed her deep affection for a woman, openly declaring her love and pride in it.

Madsen has previously been open about her sexual orientation. In June 2023, she reiterated her openness about her identity in another Instagram post, this time sharing graphics affirming bisexuality with messages like "Bisexuals are not 'confused'" and "bi af."

In a recent exclusive interview with People Magazine, Madsen commented on the criticism directed towards her Bridgerton character, remarking, "the internet is wild."

"I mean, people are not the biggest fan of her," she commented about Cressida, mentioning she receives "interesting comments and some interesting DMs" such as "thank you for letting me hate you so much," or "I love hating you so much."

Madsen humorously shared that she replies to these messages by saying, "you're welcome."

She added, "It makes me feel like I've done my job right."

"I really don't take those things personally. But I like it when people who I meet have appreciated the show. Yeah. That's always lovely.
