After OJ Simpson's death, Caitlyn Jenner shared her feelings on social media with a post saying, "Good Riddance #OJSimpson."

O.J. Simpson's family announced on Wednesday that the athlete passed away in Las Vegas from prostate cancer.

Caitlyn’s Connection to OJ

Caitlyn Jenner (formerly known as Bruce Jenner) was once married to Kris Jenner, who was married to Robert Kardashian, Simpson’s defense lawyer.

Robert Kardashian and OJ Simpson had been friends since their college days at USC. Simpson stood as best man at Robert and Kris Jenner's wedding. Robert Kardashian also represented Simpson in the trial for the murder of Simpson's ex-wife.

The Infamous Trial

On June 12, 1994, Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman were found murdered. OJ Simpson, with a past of violence against Nicole, became the main suspect.

Simpson stayed at Robert Kardashian’s house to avoid media attention. At one point, Kardashian was seen with a bag that prosecutors thought might have evidence.

The trial became a huge media circus, where Simpson was found not guilty. However, in 1997, a civil suit found him responsible for the death of Goldman and battery against Nicole Brown Simpson.

Instead of surrendering, Simpson tried to escape in his white Ford Bronco, leading to a slow-speed police chase that was captured live on air becoming one of TV’s most-watched events.

Caitlyn's Belief

During the trial, Caitlyn Jenner, who was married to Kris, believed Simpson was guilty.

“I knew he did it,” Jenner told Andy Cohen in 2017. “There were three people at the crime scene: DNA evidence, three people at the crime scene. Pick a murderer. How hard is that?”

Frank Sterle Jr. | 7 months ago | Reply Social media posts are saying that OJ Simpson must now be in Dante s Inferno s unpunished-murders section. Though no fan nor defender of his I still wonder whether his spirit or consciousness may finally be 100 percent free of the purely cerebrally based agitation and contempt that may have actually blighted much of his life. Therefore free of his corporeal shell he may be wondering Why was I so angry so much of the time Oh the things I said ... I really hope I didn t do damage while I was there . ... A few decades ago I learned from two Latter Day Saints missionaries that their church s doctrine teaches that the biblical lake of fire meant for the truly wicked actually represents an eternal spiritual burning of guilt over one s corporeal misdeeds. Bemused I thought and said That s it Our punishment is our afterlife guilty conscience During the many years since then however I ve discovered just how formidable burning guilt can be. I ve also considered and decided that our brain s structural chemical flaws are what we basically are while our soul is confined within our physical bodily form. The human soul may be inherently good on its own but trapped within the physical body notably the corruptible brain oftentimes the soul s purity may not be able to shine through. Thus upon the multi-murderer s physical death not only would he or she be 100 percent liberated from the anger and hate that blighted his physical life his spirit or consciousness would also be forced to exist with the presumably unwanted awareness of the immense amount of needless suffering he personally had caused. But for immensely victimized people like Ronald Goldman and his left-to-mourn family all of the above would undoubtedly be of no consolation.
